the previous news was of course an hoax, some april's fool joke. We thank all the people from Hairy management for their dedication on last gig, as well as TDK prod for their wonderful work. We hope to see you doomsters on saturday @ BDN III !
Marquis, bass player and singer, and founder of the band, has been fired. These last times, he claimed himself to be Fabio, sort of a strange muscled icon. To sum it up, he became obviously mad, and we were forced to separate from him.
To replace him, we recruited these two talented swedish musicians (picture below), Leif and Messiah. This is a new step in Ataraxie's history, and we wish them the best for the future.

Now that's official, "slow transcending agony" will be released in June on the japanese extreme doom label Weird Truth. This album was recorded in Belgium during last summer in the CCR studio (TPOG, Aborted, In Quest...) and contains 5 tracks of old school and brutal doom/death for a total length of 51 min. It will appeals to fans of diSEMBOWELMENT, Unburied, Evoken, Worship, Thergothon, Mournful Congregation, old Paradise lost and 90s doom/death nostalgics in general. You can also expect a massive and crushing production!
Tracks list:
1-A step into the gloom
2-Funeral hymn
3-L'ataraxie
4-Slow Transcending Agony
5-Another day of despondency
More info will follow later!

We are particularly unpleased to announce the cancelation of the decline fest, which should have taken place in Rouen, le Brooklyn, on april 9th. Despite the reservation of the venue during late november and confirmation during january the owner has programmed a techno party the same evening. Our demands were effortless, the techno party remains scheduled. All the organisers, Ataraxie & Wormfood apology for this bad news, especially to Esoteric & Indesinence, we were impatiently looking forward try to share the stage with these bands. however, we will try to organise this festival later on, in a different venue. With regrets, NormandyMetal team, Ataraxie & Wormfood
Ataraxie would like to thank all the crowd for making yesterday's gig fantastic ! great sound, great lightings, great response from the crowd (some people went from far away!), we had a very great time onstage ! Thanks to Lahar for their fantastic performance, thanks to Emporium Galorium's owner that allowed us to do this gig for free...
The "Live Doomination" Cd, limited to 50 copies, has now sold out.
Two pictures galeries have been added.
Reopened the Samples section. 4 MP3s are now available for download.
We are maintaining / improving Ataraxie's website at the moment. You may experience troubles surfing on the site during the weekend, but hopefully, it will be totally updated at last !
Because of strong demands, we are reediting "The Other Path". This reedition comes in profesionally printed CD-R, slim case, and features black&white cover.
